Newcastle announce the signing of league youngster

Newcastle Falcons have signed Danny Williams from Leeds Rhinos. The 21 year old plays on the wing and has signed an initial one year deal with the north east club and will arrive on Tyneside on August the 4th. Alan Tait, Newcastle's new assistant coach was instrumental in the signing and feels that the player will be able to cross codes successfully.
"He's extremely tough, very physical in contact and an outstanding finisher. Danny would fall into the same sort of bracket as Chris Ashton who has been such a success at Northampton, admittedly at a lower level than the Guinness Premiership, but I'm really excited about him coming here for this season."
Williams made his debut for Leeds at 19 and went on to score 12 tries in his 15 first team appearances and then made his full England debut against France in 2007.
