Your News Quins sign Fijian to bolster backline

Harlequins have signed Waisea Luveniyali, a 23 year old Fijian who was Fiji's stand out player in the Rugby World Cup of last year. Moses Rauluni has described him as an international player to watch for the next decade.

At 5"8 and 83kg Luveniyali is by no means big but is likely to play in the outside centre position for Quins even though he can also play fly half and full back. However, the club have already signed Nick Evans who is likely to play in the fly half role for the London club.

In the Fijian press, the player has been described as having the vision of Waisale Serevi and the distribution skills of Carlos Spencer - some praise indeed and if true will mean that Quins have signed a terrific player for the next two years.
